Lucas Davenport
Lucas Davenport is a chief detective with the Minneapolis Police Department, apparently assigned to the homicide division. Independently wealthy, he pursues a career in criminal justice as a matter of passion and principle. To Lucas, law enforcement is a black and white issue. There are "bad guys" who commit crimes, and there are "good guys" who must catch and punish them, even if this pursuit involves bending the "rules" a bit. Thus, he is willing to allow a bank robbery to occur, in order to catch the female criminals he knows in advance are the perpetrators. Unfortunately, this decision results in the deaths of two women and put in motion an obsession for revenge on the part of the husband and brother of these two. As Lucas pursues those bent upon revenge, a strong character emerges - one who is able to analyze, anticipate, persevere, and respond...
