Chapter 8 Summary

Dilnavaz asks Miss Kutpitia why the lime spell is not working on Sohrab. The old lady orders a modification. Someone must drink the limes' juice. She suggests using Tehmul; who has so few brains he will not even notice. Dilnavaz obeys, follows the recipe, and hopes Tehmul will wander by before Gustad arrives. Roshan sees the glass when she comes home from school, complaining of diarrhea all day, but is forbidden to drink it. Instead, she is given some pills and is put to bed.
