Book 4: Chapter 21-25 Summary

In chapter twenty-one, Ashley finds that the creature that grabbed her leg is a short human-like creature covered in hair. The creature seemingly says in its native tongue for the lion-like animals to leave and then has Ashley and Ben follow him. The creature leads them on to its village. Ben suddenly faints and has another dream. In the dream, his grandfather tells him to go into the cave with a star symbol above the door. Ben wakes up and continues on with Ashley. They reach several dwellings when two leaders begin to have an argument. Ben and Ashley can't understand what is being said but when the old one turns toward them he points a stick at them and says the word "Death" (p. 248).
