Summary

In Episode 6, on Saturdays, Portico is responsible for doing household chores. Portico dislikes chores. The only job he likes is vacuuming, because the vacuum feels like a “roaring spaceship” (170).

Zola arrives while Portico is vacuuming. Sasha suggests she help Portico. The friends get distracted pretending the dust bunnies are pets. They name them and feed them “baby carrots” (173). Displeased with the new mess, Sasha tells the kids to take out the trash.

Portico and Zola drag the trash “down the hall” to the trash chute (175). Portico thinks the chute is cool, because it could be “a portal or a time machine” (175). Suddenly, Herbert appears, saying he will leave them alone forever if they jump down the chute (177).
