Eager Beaver
Many of the events in the novel are set at the Eager Beaver, Erin's place of employment. It is a rundown strip club struggling to stay in business. Its owners are desperate and will use gimmicks like cream corn wrestling to bring in customers. Orly, the manager, is constantly thinking of ways to improve business. The club was once frequented by bikers, but, in this new day and age, it is fashionable for bankers, judges and politicians to visit strip clubs. Orly longs for the days when things were simpler, when the girls listened to the manager's requests and when the club didn't need fancy lights and smoke machines.
