Chapter 32 Summary

Garcia and Shad speed down the interstate at ninety-four miles per hour.. Shad is worried about Erin. Garcia tells him to relax. He says that sometimes you just can't be a hero, and that all you can do is put things in motion and see what happens. He explains that this is what he did by putting his card in Mordecai's safe deposit box for Moldowsky to find. He thought it might motivate Moldowsky to do something stupid. Shad is convinced Erin has been kidnapped. Garcia doesn't think so. He theorizes that because the lipstick clue on the mirror was written in flowery cursive writing, it means that she was not hauled away hurriedly by Dilbeck.
