Chapter 23 Summary
Well-to-do Connecticut newlyweds suntan on the beach outside the Breakers Hotel on Palm Beach. As they prepare to leave, Darrell appears on the beach, not dressed for the occasion, and asks them if they have a car. He threatens them with a knife and they say, yes, they do have a car. Darrell steals the car and steals the wife's birth control pills.
Moldowsky has the use of the Rojo's yacht. Crandall meets him there to tell him the bad news about the safe deposit box. Time for Plan B, Moldowsky says. Moldowsky is prepping Dilbeck for his date with Erin the following night. There are certain questions that Moldowsky needs Dilbeck to ask her.
