Summary

Chapter 20 is titled “The Breakup.” Andrea gets confirmation that she is seven weeks pregnant. Ryan calls and tells her he is back from tour and invites her out for a drink. Andrea declines to attend a family dinner. Ryan asks Andrea to come over and Andrea relents after sensing that something is wrong. After Andrea arrives, Ryan tells her that Cold Shoulder broke up. While Andrea did not intend to tell Ryan about the pregnancy, she ends up telling him. Ryan offers to pay for the abortion, which Andrea resists. Ryan is upset, thinking that Andrea’s friends already know about the baby and Andrea tells him that he is the first person she has told.
