Summary
In Chapter 44, Lazlo suggested that Sarai fall asleep with her moth still on Lazlo’s brow, so that she could stay with him in his dream. Lazlo promised to help Sarai chase her nightmares away if they followed her into his dream. Sarai agreed to try.
In Chapter 45, Thyon Nero worked on alchemical experiments in the crematorium. He used Lazlo’s spirit from a vial which he had labeled “Spirit of Librarian.” He expected his experiment to fail as it had with the azoth made from Thyon’s own spirit, but the experiment worked.
Chapter 46 returned to Sarai, who called all her moths back, except for the one on Lazlo’s brow. She fell asleep on her bed in the citadel. In Lazlo’s room in Weep, Sarai laid down on the bed as well, as Lazlo watched from the window...
