Summary
In Chapter 23, Eril-Fane’s delegation considered how to solve Weep’s problem. The city looked similar to the way Lazlo had always imagined it. Ruza mentioned the Mesarthim called Skathis and Lazlo realized that the Tizerkane were no longer bound to keep secrets from the outsiders. Lazlo asked Ruza if Ruza was afraid of Lazlo, which Ruza said meant that Lazlo was challenging him to a fight. Lazlo joked that he was thankful he spoke out to Ruza and not Azareen or Tzara. The focus of the chapter switched from Lazlo to Eril-Fane. The warrior watched as Azareen led the delegation into Weep. He felt guilty that he made Azareen feel so much loneliness. He wished that Azareen would leave him because he felt that he could never deserve her after his experiences with Isagol in the citadel years ago. Eril-Fane...
