Chapter 3 Summary
Tony Torres is a mobile home salesman and the owner of the house where Edie and Snapper are attempting their scam. Tony is worried about his safety because shortly after the hurricane he learned that all of the mobile homes he had sold, mobile homes he swore would withstand a hurricane, had been destroyed. Tony is thinking about his own safety when he finds Edie and Snapper in his yard. Tony turns the tables on them. Tony knows they are scamming him and he confronts them, forcing them into his house at gunpoint.
Augustine Herrera inherited his uncle's wildlife import business a week before the hurricane.
