Chapters 22 - 24 Summary

Chapter 22 - Dresden rushes up the five flights of stairs of his office building to find Murphy collapsed and nearly incoherent in his office. She is not so incoherent she forgets why she is there and attaches a handcuff to Dresden and the other to her own wrist while Dresden is calling 911. Just then the scorpion appears and is the size of a small dog. While fighting the scorpion, hindered by Murphy's weight, Harry loses his blasting rod and staff, knocking them away from him. Knowing he cannot fight the scorpion down all the flights of stairs, Harry opts for the elevator, which the scorpion proceeds to open from the top like a tin can. A magic spell forces the elevator to the top of the elevator shaft, crushing the ever larger scorpion before plummeting back down to earth. Another spell...
