Chapters 7 - 9 Summary
Chapter 7 - Morgan is a Warden of the White council and he would like nothing better than to lop Dresden's head off immediately. Dresden reminds Morgan that the Laws of Magic apply to mortals and that Toot had been given a choice. The warden reminds Dresden that his job is to oversee Dresden's every move to ensure that no abuse of power takes place. Dresden points out the inconvenience of convening the White Council over something so trivial and Morgan backs down. What Dresden discovers is that Morgan believes Harry is responsible for the double homicide. Even worse, if that is what Morgan believes, the White council believes it too.
