George Talbot is sixty and living in London when he discovers that the woman he's had an affair with for several years, Myra, is not willing to return to him. She's moved to Africa while he was out of the country and she tells him that she is happy there. He convinces her to spend two weeks with him, but at the end of that time, she returns to Africa, ending their relationship. George flounders and doesn't know what to do with his time. He calls on his ex-wife and asks her to marry him. She tells him that she's about to be married to someone else.
