Parallel Lines and The Cult Of The Nose Summary
Caroleen wonders how to celebrate her seventy third birthday without BeeVee, hardly able to believe her twin is gone. Her right hand twitches uncontrollably, and when a pen is in her hand, she discovers that her hand is writing on its own. The first words scrawled are "Ineedyourhelpplease." Caroleen immediately recognizes BeeVee's handwriting. Her hand continues to communicate as BeeVee, asking for forgiveness and begging for her to invite BeeVee into her body. Amber, the teenager who usually helped with shopping, knocks on the door and asks to have a memento of BeeVee - her hairbrush. Caroleen gives it to her to get rid of her before seeing the newest message which tells her to get it back. Caroleen goes across the street and manages to exchange the hair...
