Blood and Fossil-Figures Summary
He lives in Dublin, and is nearly eighteen years of age before he notices the plaque that identifies Dracula's home. His wife Vera can't understand how he can be so oblivious. Oddly, he can't seem to suppress his recent desire to drink blood. The urge grows in him until he can no longer deny it. His first slip occurs when Vera purchases steaks for dinner, leaving them on the counter. Home alone, he devours one, chewing the meat until the taste of blood is gone and then spitting out the remains. When Vera returns, he has thrown both steaks into the garbage and tells her the meat was off. She argues and wants to return it to the butcher, but he convinces her not to. The incidents continue, and after each one, he convinces himself he is normal, though...
