Chapter 28-37 Summary

In chapter twenty-eight, Richard and Sister Verna begin the journey across the Valley of the Lost. It is a wasteland that used to be beautiful until the wizards waged war. There are two towers in the Valley of the Lost called the Towers of Perdition. Whoever tries to cross the Valley has trouble if they have no magic but can't get across if they have too much magic because the towers sense the magic and traps the person there with different spells.

Chapters twenty-nine and thirty returns to Kahlan and the Mud warriors that protect her. Kahlan makes sure she can't find the body of her half sister.
