Elena Michaels

Bitten's main character is Elena Michaels, a woman in her early 30s who is the world's only female werewolf. After an unhappy childhood in a series of foster homes, Elena entered into a relationship with werewolf Clayton Danvers, who eventually bit her, turning her into a werewolf also. After years of struggle, she has now accepted her status and somewhat embraced it. She lives with Clay, his father Jeremy, and the other members of their pack, serving in the role of investigator when the group receives reports of non-pack, or mutt werewolves, causing trouble.
