Summary

In Chapter 13, Gwen realizes quickly that having no coat in the rain and cold and being unfamiliar with the area give Graham an advantage. The advantage is even more pronounced when she realizes that he is wearing night vision goggles. Gwen has almost given up hope when she realizes the flashes of lighting will blind Graham because of the night vision glasses he is wearing. Just as Graham has been blinded and Gwen is about to shoot, she hears Kyle yelling to his father that he has her. Instead, Gwen spins and kicks Kyle between the legs. She gets the shotgun from him and tells him to run or she will kill him. She is surprised when he runs up the hill but does not think about it as she spins back to face Graham. She shoots him with the shotgun but misses...
