Louisa “Lou” Clark

Louisa Clark is a British woman in her twenties. She moves to New York City to start working as Agnes Gopnik’s personal assistant. Previously, she worked as a companion to Will Traynor, a wealthy quadriplegic who decided to end his life during Me Before You. Louisa and Will had fallen in love. Will’s death left Louisa heartbroken. Will left her money to travel around Europe and buy an apartment in London. In After You, Louisa begins dating Sam Fielding, a paramedic. She also learns of Lily, Will’s daughter with his college girlfriend, and becomes friends with the teenage girl. Now, she is ready to begin a new chapter of her life in New York.
