Summary
In Chapter 26, Louisa flew home for Grandad’s funeral. Her whole family was very upset, especially her mother, who had taken care of Grandad for years. Louisa’s mother felt like she had no purpose because no one needed her anymore. Louisa invited her parents to visit her in New York. Louisa encountered Sam at the reception following the funeral. She told him that she had a Knicks cap for him to give to Jake. Later, Louisa’s mother gave her Christmas present from Sam that she had never opened.
