Summary
Agent Isabelle Lacoste brought an arrowhead, like the one that had killed Jane, from the archery club to the makeshift police headquarters. On examining it, Gamache realized how such a thing could pass straight through a person. Lacoste told him that she had done some internet research and that arrowheads are made to be interchangeable, so a hunting arrowhead can replace the target arrowheads on the arrows that were displayed in the clubhouse. Gamache asked Nichol what time they were supposed to meet Stickly, the notary of Jane’s will. Nichol decided this was an opportunity to show Gamache she had listened to his advice from the previous day. Even though she knew the appointment was for 1.30 she told him she forgot. Gamache called the superintendent, Michel Brebeuf, to see if there was a way to overturn Yolande’s injunction preventing them from entering...
