Summary
In Chapter 10, Lucas went to confront Connor about the gun that night after Connor’s mother was in bed. He threw pebbles at Connor’s window until Connor came downstairs. Connor claimed he had not taken the gun. Lucas warned Connor from that point forward, he was going to be hanging around more often. They had been friends since they were three, so Connor came before anything else, even Libby.
Lucas stayed with Connor all day until Connor finally convinced him to meet Libby for their picnic date. The date went well until Libby asked Lucas if he knew it was because he was friends with Connor that he had not had more girlfriends. Lucas felt nauseated and wondered if he should end his relationship. He suggested they talk about something else.
