Chapters Nineteen and Twenty Summary
Callie is beyond angry when she leaves Madison's house, and as she is talking to Helena, she realizes that Emma might not be dead. She explains that Emma may have been taken over as a prototype permanent. Helena is mid sentence when she stops for a moment, and her terrified voice says 'Please... don't'..... and then 'Callie, run!'. It is the last thing Callie hears from her. Deep down, Callie knows she is dead. Someone from an SUV takes a shot at her and then comes around to hit her with the vehicle. She manages to elude them, and goes back to Helena's for her gun. Callie tells Eugenia not to open the door for anyone, telling her to be careful. Back in the car, she searches through the navigation history and finds a familiar name...
