Chapter 30 Summary

Stargirl does not seem surprised over the small gathering in the school parking lot. She seems content to celebrate with those who have shown up to congratulate her. Leo is surprised when Mr. Caraway gives him Stargirl's silver plate (trophy).

The following Monday, the old Stargirl is back in full force. She has her Ukulele and Cinnamon in tow. When she gives smiley face cookies to everyone in the lunchroom Hillari takes her cookie and uses her shoe to smash it to bits. All the while Dori stands and applauds the return of Stargirl.

On their walk home from school that day, Stargirl and Leo discuss the upcoming Ocotillo Ball and it is clear that Stargirl expects Leo to ask her and Leo is hesitant about doing so.

The next day Leo sees a sign up sheet on Roadrunner announcing a musical group...
