Chapters 22 - 23 Summary

Leo goes to dinner at the Caraway's house and is surprised at how very normal they are. He is given a tour of Stargirl's room and is surprised how normal and ordinary it is. They talk about Archie briefly and Stargirl says she thinks of Archie as a grandfather.

Then Stargirl reveals two unusual things in her room: A wooden bowl containing her own hair that she says is nesting material for the birds. She also shows Leo her "happy wagon" and explains that when she is happy she adds a stone to the wagon. When she is sad she takes one away. After dinner Stargirl points out her five-year-old neighbor, tells Leo she is doing a picture biography taking ordinary pictures so he will have more than the posed shots of his life when he grows up. The evening ends...
