Chapter 21 Summary

Leo and Stargirl work together delivering gifts to unsuspecting strangers. Stargirl also finally tells Leo how she knows when it is appropriate to give someone a gift. She shows him how she reads bulletin boards for information, and also how she scans the paper to find unusual bits of information. Leo and Stargirl go into a pizza parlor together and she shows him what she learns from the bulletin board. She then challenges Leo to a game to test what he has learned and they observe a woman. The chapter ends as Leo calls Stargirl the "Johnny Appleseed of loose change," as he witnesses her tossing coins here and there, leaving them on shelves for other people to discover.
