Chapter 14 Summary

After the Hot Seat ordeal Stargirl goes back to doing good deeds, being kind to others, giving little gifts. At the basketball game that evening she did not cheer for the other team. The home team (Electrons), were out-ranked by Sun Valley, mostly because of a big student named Ron Kovac. When Kovac is injured, it is not just his team members and cheerleaders who run to his aid, Stargirl does as well. Without Kovac, the Electrons win. But, two nights later the Electrons lose to Glendale. Everyone seems downhearted except for Stargirl. She cheers anyway. Until someone hit her in the face with a tomato -which caused everyone to laugh. The next morning Leo found a card tucked in his notebook. It was from Stargirl declaring her love, signed in a graphic of a star with a girl.
