Chapter 7 Summary

We are introduced to the character of A.H. (Archibald Hapwood) Brubaker (Archie) who lives in " a house of bones." He is a retired University Professor/ paleontologist who has collected bones from all over the American West. Standing near his house is an Old Saguaro he calls Senor Saguaro. The Old Cactus is tattered and an owl nests in his chest. The students visit Archie to talk about science and have formed a group they call The Loyal Order of the Stone Bone.

Leo and Kevin visit Archie and ask if he knows Stargirl. He does. Archie agrees that Stargirl is different, yet he does not express his opinion about her. The boys also learn that Stargirl comes from a normal home, with normal parents. Kevin mentions that he wants to put Stargirl on Hot Seat. The three talk until dark and say...
