Summary

Chapter 11 is divided into three parts. In the first part, Billy tells readers that he contacted Summer and Lil who are happy to know that Dennis is safe, but he suspects that they think Dennis might want to live with Billy and his family again. However, Billy cannot tell them the real reason Dennis is in Florida. When the time comes, he tells Christine that he wants to go on a camping trip with Dennis. Christine does not believe Billy’s story, but Dennis convinces her to let him go with him. Billy realizes that even after all these years, Dennis knows what to say to his mother to get her to agree with him.
