Summary

In Chapter 18, the delivery driver of Mastodon's daily key lime pies called the police when he found a python in his van. Crosby was convinced someone was targeting the community in order to send a message to the administration (210). Angie told Crosby and Ryskamp the pythons could never consume someone as big as Mastodon.

Diego remained on edge at Palm Beach County Jail. A white supremacist had unsuccessfully tried killing him on behalf of the angry mobs. Diego's lawyer promised to move him to a higher security facility.
