Summary

In Chapter 12, trying to verify Angie's "python hypothesis," Crosby rewatched security camera footage from the streets outside Lipid House (134). He saw the stolen truck enter and depart the grounds, Keever and Uric inside. Crosby also studied Angie's criminal record. He did not trust Pruitt.

Because the man offered a generous sum, Angie took a job remediating a mouse problem; Joel joined. When they arrived, a masked man threw an explosive into their truck. They escaped.

After interviewing Diego, Ryskamp also decided he was innocent. He and his colleagues discussed Mastodon's allegations. Afterwards, Agent Jennifer Rose told Ryskamp she heard a rumor Mockingbird was sleeping with Keith.

Angie called Crosby about Pruitt's attack. Crosby already arrested Pruitt; the attacker was someone else.
