Point of View

Spyhunter is narrated using a limited omniscient third-person narrator. Each chapter of the novel follows the perspective of exactly one character per chapter, although this primary character shifts from chapter to chapter. For example, Chapters 67 and 68 follow the perspective of Scot Harvath, as he follows Oleg Tretyakov through the streets of Kaliningrad, and is eventually captured by Tretyakov’s men in the park. Because the reader is also viewing the action through Harvath’s perspective, the reader does not know, just as Harvath does not know, that Chase Palmer is trailing Harvath through the streets, waiting to act as his backup.
