Summary
In the middle of a nighttime blizzard deep in the Norwegian forest, Norwegian special forces converge on a cabin known to contain a cell of Russian operatives. The forces are accompanied by Scot Harvath, a private American contractor, and Monika Jasinski, a member of Polish intelligence. A firefight starts between the two sides, with damage taken on both sides. Harvath sees a man leave the cabin and run into the night, and he tracks him down and kills him, collecting the bushel of fake identifications and documents on his person. When he returns, Jasinski is frustrated about the lack of details he is giving her about the mission. As they debrief the mission with Carl Pederson, a member of Norwegian intelligence, Jasinski learns that the Russians in the cabin had been planning an attack on a stockpile of Norwegian weapons, and Harvath begins...
