Matty Telemachus

Matty Telemachus is a teenage boy living in the suburbs with his mother, Irene Telemachus. Matty is preparing to begin his summer break by working for his Uncle Frankie when he discovers his ability to travel outside of his body, marking him as a true member of the Telemachus family with special powers. Matty struggles with a simultaneous sexual awakening relating to his attraction to his cousin, Mary Alice.

Uncle Frankie recruits Matty to use his powers in order to help Frankie escape from his enormous debt to the local mob, unknowingly pushing Matty to begin smoking marijuana in an attempt to continue his out of body experiences. Matty also assumes the responsibility of looking out for her mother as she navigates relationships and their complicated family experience.
