Summary

Buddy continues preparing dinner while worrying that his death is approaching. The Astounding Archibald is also present at the family gathering to help measure Matty’s talents. He hooks Matty up to a machine which begins whirring so powerfully that the electricity blows out. After this, Teddy unhooks Matty from the machines and Matty goes off to talk to Mary Alice in the basement where the other children are playing with the neighbor’s dog. He reveals to her that he can travel outside of his body.

Nick Pusateri Senior arrives at the Telemachus home to speak with Graciella. Nick hands Teddy a flashlight with a logo stamped on the side, the same on Frankie’s van, and tells Teddy that he knows about the break-in. Teddy has no idea what Nick is talking about, but he continues on, raging about giving back...
