Summary
The narrator goes out to the ocean ice once more to meet the Northern Lights. Slowly, she allows her body temperature to drop, and leaves her body as a spirit to explore the ocean water. The spirit returns to her body, after which the Northern Lights descend upon her and fill her up, impregnating her. She does not tell anyone else about the conception of the child of the Northern Lights, because she knows no one will believe her.
In town, the narrator realizes she has been healed by the Lights, since she no longer needs glasses and no longer has acne. She is able to predict what people will say before they speak and can no longer bleed.
