Chapter Twenty-Two Summary

Rose monitors the rest of the public meeting via psychic bond with Lissa, still in attendance with Adrian and Tasha. Tasha uses her political spirit power to persuade some Dhampirs present that rather than negatively react against Tatiana's decision, they should instead focus on recruiting more spirit users who can learn the techniques Lissa has mastered to turn Strigoi into Dhampirs again.

Ambrose, a handsome Dhampir who is a Royal servant and Tatiana's probable secret lover, greets Rose. He invites her to accompany him on his way to seeing his Aunt Rhonda. Rose has previously had her Tarot cards read by Rhonda. Despite Rose's cynicism, Rose has to admit Rhonda's psychic reading was basically accurate. She agrees, curious to see what Rhonda will next predict. Rhonda is delighted by Rose's return and promptly reads her Tarot offerings. There is much strife...
