Before being known as a consequence of the Spin, the disappearance of the stars and the moon from the sky was first referred to as the "October Event" by the media. The first human casualty of the said event was is failure of all satellite-based communication networks; everything from GPS, broadcast television and international surveillance systems are suddenly useless.
