Keith Landry
Keith Landry was a spy working with the American government and the Army for more than twenty years. After the end of the Cold War, men like Keith became obsolete, so the government began urging them to retire. As the book opens, the reader learns that Keith has just recently become one of these men. Keith returns to his hometown, moving into the old family farm even though his entire family left Spencerville more than five years before. Keith is unsure why he has chosen to return to Spencerville, but soon reveals that the love of his life still lives in the small Ohio town.
