Chapter 10, Children of the Mind, Summary

Dom Cristao, head of the Catholic school, is called in the middle of classes to meet with the Bishop. There is some clear tension between the Bishop and Dom Cristao, as exampled by the Bishop's refusal to call the Dom by his title, but instead by his chosen name. The Bishop and Dom Cristao discuss Ender with the doctor. The Bishop is concerned about Ender's threat to have the Catholic license revoked for non-cooperation, but Dom Cristao is of the opinion they should have cooperated with Ender from the beginning so they would not have this problem. Diplomatically, Dom Cristao suggests that he and his fellow Children of the Mind followers be allowed to cooperate with Ender fully. The Bishop agrees.
