Clanton
Clanton is the small, fictional Mississippi town where most of “Homecoming” is set. Clanton is the city Mack once called home before he divorced his wife, closed his law firm, declared bankruptcy, and left town. In this story, he hopes to return home to be part of his children’s lives again.
Costa Rica
Costa Rica is a setting in “Homecoming.” It is the country where Mack settles after he closes his law office and abandons his family. Mack invites Jake and Carla to vacation in Costa Rica at an Eco-Lodge where he has part ownership so that Mack can talk to Jake about helping to facilitate Mack’s return to Clanton.
