Importance: With this comment, Dash reveals that he can find “nothing positive” in his life on the moon. He also reveals that there has been a murder but there has also been an effort to hide it from the general public. This is the first clue that the entity in charge – NASA – is trying to present only the positive aspects of this program while hiding anything negative. The base commander later confirms this by revealing that she and other officials are worried about the negative publicity.
