Epilogue Summary and Analysis

Alexia has a huge wedding at twilight. She wanted to make it possible for all of society to attend. The vampires didn't attend because they don't like change. The Queen of the vampire hive did send her a wedding present. She sent her own personal maid. Because the maid's master had been killed by the scientists, Angelique had been happy to work for Alexia. Just before the ceremony, Alexia ran to Lord Akeldama's home and held his hand. He remained human long enough to see a sun set over the city. It had been his wish to see it set because it had been so long since he could be awake for the setting. He cried as he watched. He cried again at her wedding.
