Chapter Six Summary
In Chapter Six, Alexia steps out with Mr. MacDougall in his carriage. Mr. MacDougall has the highest quality carriage with all types of inventions. Alexia's parasol looks puny as MacDougall makes a huge parasol come up over the passengers in the carriage as he and Alexia stop and have a picnic. He has an invention for hot water to make tea. Obviously he is English enough to want his tea. Alexia and he have a good time as they talk about MacDougall's scientific thoughts. His brother changed into a vampire. Unfortunately Americans do not want the supernatural in the country. Even his family hunted him down and killed him. MacDougall didn't see much difference in him after he turned except he moved about more at night and his skin was paler. MacDougall was working on a way to predict the amount...
