Chapter 45 to 48 Summary and Analysis
In Chapter 45, Ann ducks inside the tent. She went oto a group of women who looked like frightened children. They had suffered unspeakable abuse. Sister Rochelle shoos the beggar away. Ann looked at the women and many barely had any clothes and wore rags. Ann addressed the sisters. The Sisters of the Light were women with strength, fortitude, and intelligence, but she feared what it had taken to reduce them to such a state.
The women start to weep and pray, but Ann stops them and says that they have important business. Ann tells them why she has come and that there must be a balance to everything.
