Chapters 33 to 36 Summary and Analysis
In Chapter 33, Kahlan was speechless as Richard wondered if the other half of the book exists and even though Kahlan says it may be possible, it may not be the case. People are not always appreciated in their own time and their books may be destroyed. Kahlan states that sometimes people are revered and then become valuable as a symbol.
Richard was attracted to Joseph Ander's legacy though he did not have any proof that it was anything more than his imagination. The hair stands up on the back of his neck and he wonders where Du Chaillu went. He called out and when there was no response, the blade masters sprang to action. They become frantic in search of her.
Richard finds her face down in the water and believes she died and that there is no spirit...
