Jackson Bird
Jackson Bird is a trans man who was assigned female at birth. Throughout his childhood and teen years, Jackson questioned his gender identity, sexuality, and the way he wanted to express his gender outwardly. Jackson did not always know that he was trans and it was a long process of educating himself and correcting internalized misconceptions in order to come to the conclusion that he is a man. Even after reaching this conclusion it is a long time before Jackson is ready to come out and transition publicly.
Jackson has struggled with gender dysphoria and mental health issues throughout his teen years and early adulthood. However, the more he began to express his authentic self, the more his mental health improved. He also worked with a therapist who specializes in gender therapy.
