Point of View
The point of view of the novel begins as a close third person that switches back and forth between the three main characters. The first chapter, “Ghosting Stories,” is divided into three separate sections: “Maude and Richard,” “Mackenzie and Tanya,” and “Sunna and Brett.” Although these sections name two characters, only one character’s interior thoughts and feelings are presented by the narrator with close psychic distance: Maude, Mackenzie, and Sunna. The next chapter, “The Last Will and Testament of Rebecca Finley,” introduces the final main character, Larry. The narrator delves into Larry’s psyche and presents us with his thoughts and feelings.
