Chapter 10, the Major's Cabin, Chapter 11, Aristotle Summary
It is early on Sunday morning, and Sophie decides to continue her search for the philosopher by following the path that his dog took. Sophie walks into the woods in the direction in which the dog Hermes disappeared. She finds a lake and a rowboat. On the other side of the lake, she sees a cabin. Sophie takes the rowboat and goes to the other shore, by the cabin. The cabin is unlocked and she walks in. Sophie sees no one, but it is obvious that someone has been living there and been there a short time ago.
